Curating Kiwi Content
Curating Kiwi Content: what do we want to see on the web?
Friday 2:55
Facilitators: Stephen Bright, Mike Dickison.

Digital curation is the art and craft of selecting information from the web, evaluating it, and making it more visible for other digital citizens. Where there are gaps, such as themes of specific New Zealand interest, this may include creating or inviting others to create resources. Current initiatives in this area include WikiNZ, NZ Birds Online, and the New Zealand pages of Wikipedia. As active digital participants, we need to look at ways to make public information more accessible, and give citizens an opportunity to choose they way it’s presented, rather than receiving official Government infographics.
