About NetHui 2014
NetHui 2014 is a 3 day conference that brings together everyone involved with Internet issues in New Zealand. NetHui is based on the format of multi-stakeholder collaboration successfully introduced by the global Internet Governance Forum (IGF).
The theme for the 2014 conference is “The next 25 years“. The first day of the conference will set the scene with the last 2 days involving participatory discussions and panels according to the programme developed with community input.
InternetNZ is organising NetHui 2014 as a platform for all those involved with the Internet in New Zealand to involve their communities. InternetNZ acts as a nucleus, with a huge variety of motivated people and organisations planning and running the individual discussions.
InternetNZ (Internet New Zealand Inc) is the non-profit open membership organisation dedicated to protecting and promoting the Internet in New Zealand and fostering a coordinated, cooperative approach to its ongoing development.
Our primary objective is “high performance and unfettered access for all” so the Internet continues to operate in an open environment that cannot be captured by any entity or individual for their own ends.
